StarCraftWire.net is proud to present your guide to the StarCraft II Alpha! We are in the making of creating a series of articles that encompass everything you need to know about StarCraft II, including things like unit changes, technological issues, new mapmaking features as well as when the StarCraft II Beta will finally commence!

The articles will be written by the whole crew of StarcraftWire, so you'll have additions from the Kalos' Chronicles, Troglodyte's Tribunal, Player's Infodesk as well as Leord.


So far, we have released the following articles in the series:

• Zerg StarCraft II Alpha Evolution
  Troglodyte's third and final article about the races' evolution throughout the alpha. This one focus on the Zerg, the last race to be unveiled, but still one with a lot of updates since the unveiling a little bit over a year ago.
• Polygon Parallax: More Models
  Kalos' second article in this series, with further emphasis on models. Comparing more of the most popular StarCraft 2 units' development.
• Terran StarCraft 2 Alpha Changes
  Troglodyte's second article in the series, continuing from Protoss to the Terrans! Perhaps the race with most balance changes since the announcement in May 2007.
• Road to StarEdit II: Mapmaking
  Player_72985 has made a huge special on 'mapmaking'. The history of mapmaking and the evolution in features to StarCraft 2. Naturally also details about StarCraft II Campaign Editor.
• StarCraft 2 - Polygon Parallax
  Kalos write about the more technical changes of StarCraft 2 Alpha. The models of units, and different routes Blizzard have used when upgrading models and art direction.
• Preparing the Protoss for StarCraft 2
  Troglodyte gives us a thorough rundown on all the changes to the Protoss race since May 2007 when StarCraft 2 was announced in the Korean WWI.
