UPDATE!
There is a new update on this topic here.
It looks like Blizzard Entertainment got yet another game in early development. If you are a programmer with awesome skills and experience in the game industry, you have the opportunity to join the best international game studios and all what comes attached to that: good salary, benefits, reputation and access to the in-house gym and cafeteria to boot.
Thus far Blizzard is developing five new games:
1. Starcraft II
2. Diablo III
3. New World of Warcraft expansion
4. Next-Gen MMO
5. A new unannounced game (New IP?)
Lots more info after the break!
The fifth brand-new unannounced game surfaced last week. I don’t recall any executives commenting about the existence of a fifth game before, but certainly two executives have hinted interest in a new IP.
The first time a new IP was hinted was as far back as 2006, when Paul Sams said the following to Gamespot:

| Paul Sams: “I wouldn’t be surprised to see a new franchise from us at some time in the future; there’s certainly a desire to do so.” | ||

| Paul Sams: What I will say, though, is that the idea of a new franchise is very intriguing to employees of the company. Are we ever going to release a new one? I would absolutely say we will at some point. I just don’t know when that day will be quite yet. | ||

4th wow? =) There isn’t even a 2nd and 3rd!
No, the whole point of this (which will soon be posted more clearly, we are just sorting out our sources) is that this is NOT the “next gen MMO”. This is ANOTHER game of another IP.
Another IP means ofc that it’s NOT in the worlds of StarCraft, WarCraft or Diablo. New IP, while a new franchise would mean it could potentially be a SC MMO or a Diablo MMO (or even WoW 2, but highly unlikely).
Edit:
It could NOT be WoW2, because they have explicity said it’s not WoW2. SC MMO and Diablo MMO is not impossible, however.
Oh, come on. I think you know what I meant. wrath of the lich king was the 3rd WoW, (I don't think there's any other terminology for expansions and originals). But yeah, the series has to stop, for the good of the world! MMO's suck!! Although I'm probly preaching to the choir if we are RTS players.

As I said before; the new ‘next-gen-mmo’ is actually a new IP. I remember blues telling us that it isn’t a WoW expantion and that it is-not a current franchise. At least, that is what I remember. We will see. <3 blizzard!!
