We know it, they know it, hell everyone knows how unreliable Blizzard is when it comes to time lines and release date estimates. Because of this they have severely limited the amount of deadlines and target dates they put out.
Much to my surprise they decided to give the fans their targets for the beta!
The other surprise is that we can no longer be sure that the map editor will be released during the beta ;(

We were targeting three to five months for the beta, we're really at a three month period of time for the beta at this point. We are still targeting the first half of this year, so with that in mind, it really shortens the window of time with our major content patch coming out pretty close to the end whether it's even worth it putting out the map editor at that point. | ||

It should be noted that they put emphasis on the 3 months part showing a surprising amount of confidence for a Blizzard release window. Hopefully this will be true as I would love to be playing the final retail game ASAP :D
