Get A Beta Key


With the build-up for the 11th anniversary of StarCraft, and the subsequent lack of celebration from Blizzard, we have seen poor Karune taking a beating in the official forums and fans being outraged in general. It seems the frustration from 10 years wait for a sequel is finally bubbling up in ugly ways.


Because of this, we have decided to inject a large StimPack into the community by giving away one of our very precious BlizzCon Beta Keys. Check eBay, they are not cheap...


This time it's no strange counters, rumours, hoaxes, promises or the like. Just a regular contest with the grand prize of a StarCraft II Beta Key. It's a plastic, it's slightly scratched, and it's physically a REAL KEY!


Please observe that this does not include the bear mount! It's "just" the StarCraft II Beta Key. Still, since you visit this site, we assume that StarCraft II is what you're here for anyway, right? Don't forget to check the Beta Centre for any other Beta Key opportunities, like the classic StarCraft tourney in Calgary on the 10th of April.



So... How to get a Beta Key?

It's still this simple:

• Want to win a Beta Key? - Go to this thread and post the words "I'm a Grain" as well as join the Pants Game (rules in thread).
• Want a greater chance of winning Beta Key? - Join the Challenge here.
• You have until the 13th of April - Hurry up!.

This contest will be the fourth StarcraftWire Challenge, but with slightly different rules. Both Challengers and Grains can now win the Grand Prize of a Beta Key, but Challengers will have a bigger chance of winning. Second to fourth prize will be cool StarCraft posters, as the previous Challenges.


As usual, it's a lottery where contestants are put in a pile, and a few random numbers are drawn by my bountiful assistant Randomizer.org to get the winners. The difference between Challenge #4 and the previous three is that you can enter up to three times as a Challenger if you qualify for three contributions. This would give those members who have supported the site a long time a chance to show this off, and hopefully also inspire others to help the community in many different ways. If you have a knack for humour in the Pants Game, you also gain additional chance in the draw.
