This is most excellent news! I just hope Blizzard says something of the sort after the holidays to confirm this.
Not gonna believe any release dates until blizzard announces it, but nice to hear nonetheless. Waiting patiently for them to announce the beta first.

Hmm… it seems to me more like the watermark will cause everybody holding us responsible when it inevitably turns out to be another rumour =)
Definitely looks like they might be releasing Starcraft II in April 1—which marks the 11th anniversary. If that holds true, I can see beta starting as soon as January-February range with a 2-4 months beta-testing-window.
However, their last two RTS games share the July 1-3 release date window.
Interesting. I still think that the game will come out after the release of the third book of the Dark Templar saga though. Makes sense to me.
And I do hope the beta starts in january-february and that I’ll get a key. Everyone probably wishes that.:D
I’m very skeptical. If they don’t put out a beta by the end of this month, they will be lucky to have it on the shelf by the July date. I don’t see any way that they have this thing on the shelf by April, unless they just bail on most of the public beta and rush it out - and that just doesn’t seem like Blizzard’s M.O. to me.
