The third wave has started, and is likely to go on throughout the day, and perhaps even into the weekend. Waves seems to be arriving every one to one and a half weeks (since last wave was Tuesday last week), which is pretty good.This will alleviate some of the matchmaking problems seen in the beta, as a larger pool of players will be available in each region of the new Battle.net, and continue to improve as beta continues.
If you are wondering exactly how the whole beta key process works, check out out the "StarCraft 2 Beta Keys Explained" guide, and if you haven't opted in yet, make sure to opt in to the StarCraft 2 beta now! It is not too late. If you have event keys from WWI or BlizzCon in 2008, register them as soon as you can, you will still have to wait a wave or two after they are registered (again, read the explanation).
Some people have unfortunately had problems with their beta keys. They either received a key by mail that does not work, or the game is added to their account but they can't log in.
Xordiah says they are looking in to it:

| Seems there is an issue with some of the keys that were sent out. We are following up on it and I will let you know here when it is resolved. Just wait a bit, we will need some time to sort out what happend. |
||
However, people seem to believe they can just GET a key with this method, something they obviously make sure will not happen...

| You do know that we don't check the mails here (if you even have one added to your account) and then just send out random keys, right? This only works if you had a key to begin with. | ||
Now, this issue is obviously not just YOU having it (if you have problems), so wait and see what Xordiah cooks up with her magical wand (yes, we dig her, can you tell?). However, if you have persistent problems after doing everything right and everyone else has started to get in to the game, contact the support:

| Just contact our support via the webform: http://eu.blizzard.com/support/webform.xml They will be able to assist you with any problems. My first idea would also have been, that you should make sure to download your client via the account management and make sure to use that client. About posting in the beta forums: You will have to log into StarCraft II and create your profile in game first, so you can select that profile to post with. |

For all new StarCraft 2 Beta players who gets in without hassle, you can check out the StarCraft 2 Beta Center for a host of information, such as System Requirements and other guides.
Players new to the StarCraft franchise should check out ego's n00b guide (part 1, part 2), or Epic_Sheeps guide to the basics of competitive StarCraft (and thus, StarCraft 2). For players familiar with the original StarCraft, there's Battle Reports and other videos to see as well as guides.
Please consider all the unfortunate fans who does NOT have a beta key! Upload screenshots to the StarCraft 2 Beta gallery, you can post in the beta forums for help on perhaps getting your Battle Reports published on StarCraft: IncGamers and make sure to share and add your replays to the StarCraft 2 Replay and map database (maps to come when Blizzard release the editor).
