Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty Trademarked

Posted 23rd Oct 2008 10:17 PM by Medievaldragon

Blizzard Entertainment trademarked Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void. The trademark was filed on October 10th. Each of the trademarks have three different entries each for different purposes that Blizzard might use the trademarks for. The third image below might suggest Starcraft II episodes might be available through the store download option, but would it be far-fetched to think of a similar function as Steam’s to purchase Blizzard games via Battle.net 2.0? That’s a common speculation that hasn’t been confirmed.

I think following the same model Valve did for HL2 just makes more and more sense seeing how similar the products are. Making B.net 2 function like Steam (but with less bugs plz) is a natural part of this.
