Chau Sara

Chau Sara is a sister planet of Mar Sara, and the first planet to be annihilated by the Protoss.
Chau Sara was the smaller and more outlying of the worlds in the Sara System. It also had the largest colony of Terran inhabitants.
Chau Sara was one of the colonies of the Terran Confederacy. It was a penal colony. Most of its inhabitants served hard time.
When the zerg atacked Chau Sara, the conclave ordered Tassadar to destroy and incinerate all life on Chau Sara.
The protoss carrier Ganthritor and various ships aimed weapons from orbit to the unsuspecting world beneath. When the Norad II arrived Colonel Edmund Duke and the UNN reporter Michael Liberty found Chau Sara's surface a messy rainbow smear of light, glowing with rippling bands of colors, moored at a handful locations by bright spikes of orange.
These spikes of orange were where terran settlements formerly existed.
A technician reported that all scans registered no sign of life. Most of the surface had been liquified and sterilized twenty to fifty feet deep into the crust. Eight percent of the atmosphere had been blown off.
