Kite

"Kite" is a term used to describe the act of slowing and damaging a melee opponent with ranged units to reduce damage and keep a distance between the two opposing groups.

The term does not always mean that the target unit must be slowed, but it must either have its speed lowered, or already be slower than the kiting unit.
