Starcraft: Liberty's Crusade is the first printed Starcraft novel, released in 2001 and written by author Jeff Grubb.
The novel centers primarily on the character Daniel Michael Liberty (usually referred to by his middle name Michael) and details the events of the Terran campaign in the original Starcraft game, approximately starting shortly before the Terrans' initial encounter with the Zerg.
