The Terrans rely not only on the troops they can train on the battlefield but also on troops called from deep space. The Orbital Command allows the Terrans to make use of their orbital assets to support their fight on the ground. As an upgrade to the Command Center the Orbital Command can drop from orbit an experimental robotic MULE miner. Gathers minerals more quickly than regular SCVs at a rate of 30 minerals per trip. MULEs last 90 seconds before their systems fail. During those 90 seconds it does approximately 9 trips (270 minerals gain).

These Mules have a limited lifespan, dependent on their batteries, and when they run out, they need to be replaced by additional mules.

The Command Center has 200/200 energy, therefore a total of four MULEs can be summoned by pressing [E] over a mineral deposit. Each MULE costs 50 energy from the Command Center's 200/200 energy pool.

Game Unit

The Mule is a one-purpose unit, who only harvest minerals. Although it can be seen as a worker, they lack the capability to actually produce buildings. It's primarily an addition to the game to increase macromanagement for players. To some degree it can be seen as a replacement for the increased ease that MBS brings to the game.

The offensive skills are on par with the SCV, but it is not capable of causing damage to enemy units.
