Overmind

In the events that took place in the original StarCraft, the Overmind was the leader of the Zerg swarms that attacked Terran and Protoss forces. Among other things, he managed to capture Sarah Kerrigan when Arcturus Mengsk abandoned her on a Space Platform, and infest her with Zerg genes, making her The Queen of Blades, and under his control.
The Overmind was eventually killed by Tassadar in the Carrier named Gantrithor in the end of the StarCraft story line, and in the expansion set StarCraft: Brood Wars, the infested Sarah Kerrigan takes over the role as the high leader of the Zerg, killing off all the other Cerebrates.
