PC baang
From The StarCraft 2 Wiki
A PC baang is a Korean type of Internet café, where one can play multiplayer computer games with others. Baang or bang means more or less "room" in Korea, and the name derives from that.
Baangs became extremely popular when Starcraft came out in 1997, timed very well with an increase of technology and living standards in Korea. Starcraft made baangs popular, and baangs made StarCraft to the ever-living game in Korean pop culture today. Even though many have PCs and broadband, these baangs have become the social standard for playing computer games. Most Koreans don't primarily play games on their own PCs, but pay to play them by the hour in these "PC rooms".
If StarCraft is the equivalence of western street basketball, then these baangs are the equivalence of street basket courts.
