The Terran Science Vessel is one of the most useful units in all of StarCraft. It has 3 powerful spells as well as mobile detection capabilities. The science vessel flies around a fairly quick pace that allows it to provide support to the Terran fleet with its Defensive Matrix, its shield and energy nullifying EMP, and its ability to irradiate any biological unit. The Science Vessel was popularized by SlayerS_BoXeR for his invention of the advanced technique, The Eraser.
The Eraser
This technique requires at least 2 Science Vessels and the Irradiate ability researched. First group the vessels close together then have each cast Irradiate on the other. Because the vessels are mechanical units, they are unaffected by the radiation. Now you have your eraser. Because of the area of effect of the spell, any biological unit caught next to the Eraser will be damaged. This is particularly effective in the Zerg mineral line because drones have low HP and succumb to the Eraser in seconds. This is also effective for chasing zerglings away and also finishing off stim packed marines and firebats. Another tricky method would be casting Irradiate to cloaked mechanical units such as Wraith.
