Ship Plating

Ship Plating is a defensive upgrade that is available for the Terrans that enhances the armor rating of all aircrafts. Each upgrade is accumulative and automatically adds to the base armor of all units that are built from the Starport.

The research time for each armor upgrade has been reduced considerably since StarCraft I.

Affected Units

The Terrans in StarCraft II have five active units, and one canceled unit, that are constructed from the Starport:

* The armor bonus is accumulative per each upgrade level.
** The Predator and Dropship have been removed from the open multiplayer aspect of the game.

StarCraft I

Costs

Each armor upgrade from the Armory costs an extra 75 Image:Mineral_SC1.png, 75 Image:Vespene_SC1_Protoss.png and 32 Image:Build_time_icon.png, and a max level of 3 in the open multiplayer.
