Ship Plating
From The StarCraft 2 Wiki
Ship Plating is a defensive upgrade that is available for the Terrans that enhances the armor rating of all aircrafts. Each upgrade is accumulative and automatically adds to the base armor of all units that are built from the Starport.

The research time for each armor upgrade has been reduced considerably since StarCraft I.

Each armor upgrade from the Armory costs an extra 75 , 75 and 32 , and a max level of 3 in the open multiplayer.
