Terran Strategies

Terrans have many, many ways to be effective. Some community members have compiled some Terran strategies for all to see. Look below for a list of Terran strategies, ranging from novice to very advanced.

  1. 1 "Marine/Medic/Ghost/Nomad" With a little micro and a boon of anti AOE from the enemy, this startegy is bound to kill the enemy with the current Blizzcon build. We all remember a bunch of marines working in unison with medics in SC as a thing of beauty. In SC2, it's 10x better. With the infinite selection of units, you army is simply one giant mass of stimmed marines being constantly healed by medics. Another addition from Sc two is that medics move aside other units to reach it's target. Because of the various upgrades for marines in SC2 (+ 15 hp shield, stim packs, and longer-range upgrade) and mineral-only cost, these babies are even better late game than early. The Ghosts are attached for sniping, nukes (who needs seige tanks?), and drop pods for mroe instant roided rines.) The Nomad is for only one thing currently, detecting. But EMP is still super useful against protoss. There's no specific building complex i recommend, only to have reactors (builds 2 at a time) on all BUT ONE of the barracks you do build.
  1. 2 "CattleBruisers" Easy and ellegant. I've found that currently, Protoss have no way to stop massed Battlecruisers. I would recommend making 4 FLYING starports (they move + don't need a tech lab) and massing in an area that is not checked often/ever. Chances are they'll think you are a noob, and by then it's too late, as you're trout-slapping his base and wiping his food off the map before he can see what happened.
