Blizzard have announced their new release dubbed "The Music of Blizzard Entertainment - Echoes of War". Despite the Lord of the Rings style title, we can probably assume its got some nice content in there.

Interestingly enough, they have included a sample from the cd of Starcraft 2 music.

In my opinion, this is some beautiful music... perhaps we'll see this in the campaigns or some cutscenes? It's rather "epic" and instrumental based but - that's to be expected from Blizzard Entertainment. It has indeed changed a bit from the original Starcraft, both in quality and style.

They have a "Legendary Edition" which includes:

  • Two audio discs
  • DVD Including:
    • Feature length documentary – Inside the Echoes of War
    • Kow Otani Featurette - Taking on Diablo
    • Interviews
    • …and more!
  • 32-page wide-format booklet
  • 9 exclusive art cards
  • 15 audio tracks
  • Over ninety minutes of orchestral music including exclusive arrangements from World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, StarCraft: Ghost, StarCraft II and Diablo III!
