Tychus Findlay's Marine Armor.
Tychus Findlay is 201cm tall and very muscular, weighing 110Kg and has grey hair and blue eyes. On the knuckles of his left hand there is a tattoo of the word "PAIN", as well as a snake around a cross above his index finger. He also has a large scar across his stomach and a tattoo on his back shoulders believed to say "HEAVEN'S REJECTS" (presumably as he was "rejected" from "Heaven's Devils").

Tychus' armour is blue and the armour number is 435. It has a pin-up model on a spades icon picture painted onto the left shoulder pad as well as another picture of an insect on top of a four clover on the right side of his chest armour in addition to other writings and markings, like killed Zerg creatures.

Despite his rough background, he is a loyal friend of Jim Raynor, and opposing the Terran Dominion but believes that Jim should spend less energy attacking them. He is usually found in his Marine suit on Hyperion's bridge.

Biography

The personell file on Tychus as shown in the introduction cinematic to StarCraft II.
Born 20th October, 2468 on Mar Sara, he accumulated a number of criminal charges, including narcotics violations, theft, jailbreak, piracy, grand larceny and murder; he is also a suspect in other murders. He served in the 321st Colonial Rangers Battalion "Heaven's Devils" fighting for the Terran Confederacy against the Kel-Morian Combine during the Guild Wars. When serving time for insubordination, he met Jim Raynor in the brig, as he was there for insubordination as well. They both served 30 days apiece in the brig and were both later missing in action after disappearing during a reconnaissance mission behind Kel-Morian lines.

Findlay was captured nine months later by the Kel-Morian Combine, and turned over to the Confederacy as part of a prisoner exchange program after hostilities ceased. He was promptly arrested by the Confederates for desertion under fire. Although originally sentenced to death, he was instead commuted for service in the Dominion Marine Corps as part of "Section 472 1" and set to serve as a Marine for life.

Gameplay

Tychus talking to Jim Raynor on the Hyperion bridge in StarCraft II single player mode.
Findlay can be seen aboard the bridge of the Battlecruiser Hyperion behind Jim Raynor in the live demo shown at BlizzCon 2007. It's possible to interact and talk to him about his opinions on missions in a regular "dialogue trees" style. It isn't 100% confirmed if he will be a playable hero unit in the game.

Blizzard's Nick Carpenter also confirmed in an interview that Findlay will be a prominent character in the StarCraft II Campaigns under the service of Raynor. A possible hint to the storyline; during the BlizzCon 2007 demo Raynor's second in command Matt Horner apparently reported that Findlay has gone missing.

The dev team has taken help from the cinematics team, and the resolution on characters and armours in side the bridge are just higher resolution models from those in game.
