Ultralisk
From The StarCraft 2 Wiki
Ultralisks are the most physically powerful of the Zerg breeds, besides the Hive Queen, and are extremely fearsome tanks of melee power.

The scythe-like large claws protruding from their sides are known as "Kaiser Blades" and are able to tear through most substances with ease. They are highly destructive, possessing monomolecular edges, which give them the extra sharpness against hard surfaces or unlucky targets.
As the Ultralisk breed was under prolonged exposure to Vespene gas, it enhanced their physical strength even further. Among the evolutionary improvements they received a more hardened exoskeletal shell and the ability to enable anabolic synthesis where their glands are able to produce additional endorphins and adrenal fluids. This evolution manifested during the Brood War, and continued even after the Zerg retreated and to bide their time. Now, the beasts have two sets of blades, have grown significantly in size and can also burrow, making it an extreme hazard to travel without detector support.
[edit] Game Unit
The Ultralisk is the biggest and "baddest" of all the land-based Zerg units, being able to sustain large amounts of damage, as well as causing it, before falling. They work great for offense, and will rip through most minor units with ease. The best counters are heavy artillery, such as Siege Tanks, Reavers or Guardians, or air units that can slowly kill them off.
[edit] StarCraft II Unit
The StarCraft II Ultralisk is even more deadly than its StarCraft I equivalent, sporting more health, higher damage, and the ability to damage all units directly in front of them. The new type of upgrades for Zerg where one unit is upgraded individually, instead of general upgrades, will also increase armor and damage even further for the Ultralisk. The newly acquired ability to burrow makes these beasts into even more dangerous opponents.

The StarCraft Ultralisk is not as powerful as the StarCraft II version, but is still a monstrous force to be reckoned with. Even without the burrow ability, they are capable of dealing immense amounts of damage, and are the most powerful melee unit in the game.
